Xiaolan Charity Parade raised over 70 million yuanXiaolan Town Charity Parade and its
Jogging event has been held once a year with theme of “helping the hopeless, helpless, poor, handicapped
and elderly�? since 21 years ago. It has developed into a town brand. The fundraising of this year

Charity Parade develops into cultural awareness
The annual Charity Parade will
be hosted on February 11. With years of development it has come to shift from
a donation collection campaign to a platform of passing on fraternity for
generations of Zhongshan people.It has grown larger and more
influential from 18 thousand participants and less than ¥100 thousand
donations at the beginning into over 200 thousand participants and large
amounts of donations from over one million donors nowadays. The donation
volume was over ¥90 million, as against ¥72 thousand in 1988.

450 Charity Parade collections witness charitable
course
Collector Liu Shanbi donated
his more than 450 pieces of Charity Parade collections before this year's
Charity Parade, which took him many years to collect. The donating ceremony
was held in Zhongshan Archives on February 8 morning. They came from the
Parade and go back to the Parade, Liu said. The person in charge of Zhongshan
Archives tells Liu's donations reflect the economic and cultural developing
course of Zhongshan, systematic, valuable and significant. Zhongshan Archives
are preparing a thematic exhibition on the Charity Parade in the second half
of the year and calling for more documents of this kind from citizens.

Spring Flower Lantern Show: Visitors exceed one million
The 2017 Spring Flower Lantern
Show is extraordinarily popular and has received more than one million
visits. The highlights are in four aspects—the mixture of the traditional
culture and local customs, the innovative lantern design telling of the
administrative effectiveness and people's harmonious life, the infusion of
"roster" elements into scenery design and the universal improvement of public

Two thousand netizens post recalling Charity
Parade
It is days left before the 30th
Charity Parade. Zhongshan Red Cross Association and Zhongshan Net are
launching a Wetchat campaign in joint efforts to call for pictures in the
theme of "care and love". It appeals to citizens for pictures of "classic
moments" in previous Charity Parade. Netizens are called on to vote for these
pictures, for the votes will be turned into the amounts of donation by Yongyi
Juhaoyuan Real Estate. By February 6, more than 2,000 nentizens had posted
and more than 30,000 votes had been collected. The campaign is still ongoing
and citizens can participate by logging on the Wetchat Page "Boai Zhongshan".
Yongyi Juhaoyuan will donate one yuan for each vote and the raised money will
be used for the Charity Parade.

Charity Parade offers overseas Chinese platform to
involve in Zhongshan development
Gu
Runjin, who takes Zhongshan as its business base, comes from the third
generation of a Chinese-Malaysian family. His ancestral home was in Zhongshan
and his affection to Zhongshan originated from his older generations. Gu has
long insisted on participating Zhongshan's Charity Parade in person, but also
encouraged his employees engaged in the cause, contributing to the charity
cause of Zhongshan.
