Sunwen Xi Road,formerly known as Ying'en Street, as an official way to enter Xiangshan in the Sui and Tang Dynasties.It has been a commercial center since ancient times. By the time of the Republic of China, they had been built and widened, forming a arcade commercial pedestrian street centered on Sunwen Xi Road, which witnessed the development of Zhongshan's commercial culture.

　　The protection area extends to Guangming Road - Shanfeng Street - Louyuan Zhongyue in the north, Nanjihou Street - Shiqi Middle Street - Tai'an Tongqu - Tai'an Road - Yuelaishang Street in the south, Fengming Road - Nanji Road in the west, Hubin Road - Taiping Road - Yuelai Road in the east, covering an area of 29.15 hectares. Among them, the Core protection scope is 16.65 hectares, and the Construction control zone is 12.50 hectares.
