As the May Day holiday approaches, major attractions in Zhongshan are rolling out exciting activities to welcome visitors.
Changjiang Water World will reopen with upgrades on April 25. The park features thrilling facilities, such as the vertical "Rainbow Slide" and the "Time Travel Slide". During the upcoming holiday, special events like a bikini contest will be held.
Zhongshan Movie Town will host flash mobs, intangible cultural heritage shows, bonfire parties, and other performances including dramas, music concerts, Hanfu parades, stunt shows and role-playing games.
At the Zhongshan OCT Harbour Joy Land park, a Wa culture-themed carnival will be held during the holiday, with the bonfire party as the highlight. Throughout the event, the park will offer a variety of captivating stage performances, such as sword dances and bamboo battles.
Zhan's Garden will launch a nighttime mode from May 1 to May 4, offering Hanfu parades, fish lantern parades and live band shows to visitors. Kids can enjoy hands-on intangible cultural heritage activities such as tie-dye, paper-cutting and pottery. Also, they can try paddleboarding by the Beixi River.
Xiaoyao Valley in Wuguishan will unveil a 5,000-square-meter, South Pacific-style living water pool. Visitors can also enjoy exciting activities such as treasure hunting and fish catching. The First Fishing Culture Festival will take place during the holiday.
Quan Lin Happy World will offer family passes for such facilities as the Ferris wheel, pirate ships, flying chairs, and the science museum through May 20.
The Fairy Tale Tribe will open at Cuiheng Happy World, and a hydrangea field, the Giant Straw Hat and the Pink Volcano will open in Yunti Mountain Park in Nanlang.
