The Zhongshan Rail Transit Affairs Center was unveiled at the Zhongshan Bureau of Transport on September 5.

The Center is mainly responsible for the preliminary work, construction, operation, quality and safety supervision of rail transit projects in the city.

Currently, Zhongshan is accelerating the construction of the Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway and the Nansha-Zhongshan Intercity Railway, planning in advance the Shenzhen-Nansha-Zhongshan Intercity Railway and Line S1 of Zhongshan's municipal railway network, and steadily advancing the preliminary research on the Guangzhou-Zhongshan-Zhuhai-Macao High-speed Railway and the Zhongshan-Zhuhai Intercity Railway.

Zhongshan is actively integrating into the "Railway Greater Bay Area", with a rail transport network of over 170 kilometers under construction or planning.
