A press conference on promoting the history and culture related to the establishment of Xiangshan County was held at the Chen Tianjue Historical and Cultural Square in East District on December 17. Chen Tianjue Historical and Cultural Heritage Museum was unveiled concurrently.

The year of 2022 marks the 870th anniversary of the founding of Xiangshan County. East District has made great efforts to build a historical and cultural brand of Xiangshan by upgrading the former Chen Tianjue History and Culture Museum to Chen Tianjue Historical and Cultural Heritage Museum and launching a series of cultural and creative products. The former Chen Tianjue Ancestral Hall and Kuchong Village's activity room were upgraded to the "Development Museum" and "Prosperity Museum" respectively. East District also reorganized materials related to Chen Tianjue, including the stories about his proposals on the founding of Xiangshan County, the achievements he made when he was the acting magistrate of the county, etc.

Chen Tianjue was credited with advising the imperial court to found Xiangshan County in the 22nd year of the Shaoxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty. Later, he moved to Kuchong Village as its founder. Walking past the huge banyan tree in the village, you will reach the Chen Tianjue Historical and Cultural Square, where exquisite wood and lime carvings display the rich history of Kuchong.
