On March 7th, Yue Qiaoyun, an associate researcher at Zhongshan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, was conferred upon Guangdong’s “Top Ten Outstanding Women” and “Mar. 8 Red-Banner Pacesetter” awards at the ceremony for the International Women’s’ Day. Yue is the only one that was awarded in Zhongshan and in central government agencies in Zhongshan. “Top Ten Outstanding Women” is the top and only provincial level award for females in Guangdong.

Yue Qiaoyun’s proposal to establish a DNA code bar data bank for harmful invasive organism propelled the set of a state-funded research project.
