The donation ceremony of Ailan Fund for students in poverty was held on the afternoon of Dec. 1 at Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Middle School. Ailan Fund donated 297 thousand Yuan to support 33 poor grade one senior high school students in 8 high schools in Zhongshan. The donation will cover these students' allowances during the 3 senior high school years. Ma Zhigang and Zhou Xin, deputy chairmen of CPPCC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, attended the donation ceremony.

Ailan Fund was created by Mr. Yuan Zhenghao, president of Shanghai Superb Company, and his wife Hu Ailan. Ms. Wang Ce, president of the fund, is responsible for the detailed operation. Ailan Fund has been helping for years poor high school students, college students, aged people without families, the disabled, and people suffering from accidents. Ailan Fund has provided 4.55 million Yuan's financial aid for 909 poor college, high school, and primary school students in Zhongshan since its establishment in 2007.
