The Han opera adopted film "Mrs Willow" was premiered in Zhongshan on the afternoon of October 27.
"Mrs Willow" is based on the Mao Dun Literature Prize-winning novel with the same name created by Zhongshan writer Liu Sifen. The film tells of a love story between Liu Rushi and Qian Qianyi, a famous Confucian scholar in the south of the Yangtze River, and reproduces the challenges of the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.
On the same day, Liu Sifen along with film star Li Xianhua, other film creators went to the premiere to share and exchange views and watched the film with more than 200 audience members.
"We created the most suitable plot for making a film adapted from the original work of more than one million words, hoping that more people would come to know Han opera and our traditional culture", said Liu Sifen.
This film will also be released in Shaxi Town and Xiaolan Town. Many excellent films such as "Happy Little Submarine:20000 Leagues under the Sea", "The Sound of Dream" and "Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge" will also be shown.
