On July 22, the last day of the diving events of the World Aquatics Championships Fukuoka 2023, Lin Shan from Zhongshan and her partner Zhu Zifeng snatched the gold in the mixed doubles 3m springboard final. This was Lin's second gold in this year's World Championships.

Chen Yiwen, also from Zhongshan, defended her title with 359.50 points in the women's 3m springboard final.

Lin Shan, aged 22, was selected into the diving team of Zhongshan Sports School in 2011, grabbed the mixed team title in the 18th FINA World Championships 2019, and won the women's individual all-round diving event of the 14th National Games in Xi'an in 2021.
