The closing ceremony of the 19th Asian Games was held at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium on the evening of October 8.

At the Hangzhou Asian Games, athletes from Zhongshan have achieved an impressive record with seven gold medals and two silver medals, making it the highest number of gold medals and overall medals obtained by Zhongshan athletes in all previous Asian Games.

On September 24, the Rowing Men's Eights (8+) final was won by Team China, and Liang Weixiong from Zhongshan and eight other Chinese athletes claimed the gold.

On September 25, 15-year-old Chen Ye from Zhongshan emerged as the champion in the men's park final of skateboarding.

On the evening of September 25, Wang Xue'er, a swimmer from Zhongshan, emerged victorious with a time of 27'35'' in the women's 50m backstroke final.

On the evening of September 27, Wang Xue'er won a silver medal in the women's 100m backstroke final with a time of 59'52''.

On October 1, Chen Yiwen from Zhongshan and her teammate Chang Yani secured the gold medal in the women's synchronized 3m springboard diving competition.

On the morning of October 2, Team China, consisting of Zhongshan athlete Liang Ruiji and his partners Bao Yingfeng, Sun Huadong and Hua Tian, claimed the championship in the equestrian triathlon.

On October 2, Liu Yi, an athlete from Zhongshan, won the gold medal in the women's -87kg Kurash competition.

On October 2, Lin Shan from Zhongshan won the silver medal in the women's 1m springboard diving final.

On October 4, Chen Yiwen won his second gold medal in the women's 3m springboard final.
