After two years of preparation, the First Zheng Jingkang Biennial Photography Exhibition in Zhongshan, China opened on December 23 at the Zhongshan Culture & Art Center. Various activities such as photography exhibitions, seminars, and cultural tours were organized.
Zheng Jingkang, a renowned photographer born in Zhongshan, was one of the pioneers in China's revolutionary photography community. He played a significant role as the only official representative of the photography community attending the Yan'an Forum on Literature and Art in 1942, and he made crucial contributions to the development of photography in China.
The Zheng Jingkang Biennial Photography Exhibition in Zhongshan, China is the first biennial event named after a photographer in Zhongshan. This year's exhibition will take place from December 23, 2023 to January 15, 2024, featuring three exhibition areas and five major exhibitions. The three exhibition areas are set up at the Zhongshan Culture & Art Center, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Library and Zhongshan Cultural Center respectively.
