The song We Are Not Insignificant created by Ivy Koo, a Hong Kong musician, was released in Zhongshan on April 18.
Ivy Koo was originally from Guinan Village in Zhongshan's Wuguishan Sub-district. Growing up in Hong Kong, she was impressed by the new changes brought to her hometown by the High-Quality Development Project for Hundreds of Counties, Thousands of Towns and Myriads of Villages. Inspired by the remarkable changes of Guinan Village, she created the song.
"No matter what role we play, we can contribute to the high-quality development of our beautiful country. I hope the song can encourage more Chinese people at home and abroad to do their part for the construction of the project," said Ivy Koo.
Ivy's plans include organizing some music activities for more villagers to spread the song, singing this song at her future concerts, and teaching children at schools to sing the song.
