The Honours and Awards Presentation Ceremony 2024 was held at the Hong Kong Government House on November 23. Five individuals were awarded the Grand Bauhinia Medal, including Lee Chack-Fan, a worthy of Zhongshan and honorary president of the Zhongshan Overseas Friendship Association.

Lee is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the curator of Jao Tsung-I Petite Ecole at the University of Hong Kong. He is a renowned expert in geotechnical engineering and water conservancy, having participated in numerous national key projects. 

The list of honors and awards was announced earlier. Recipients are from a wide range of social strata and backgrounds, who have made significant contributions to Hong Kong and benefited all sectors of society.
