Hundreds of martial arts lovers from around Guangdong gathered in Xiaolan Town, Zhongshan on the night of June 10 for the inaugural ceremony of the Guangdong Wushu Association (GWA) Hung Kuen Committee.

At the ceremony, more than 400 martial arts lovers from 13 Hung Kuen clubs in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhanjiang, Yangjiang, Maoming, Shaoguan and Zhaoqing presented a Wushu show.

Xiaolan-style Hung Kuen dates back 160-170 years. In September 2016, it was listed as a municipal intangible cultural heritage item in Zhongshan.
