On June 23, the sound of drums and music filled the air of Yakou Village in Cuiheng New District (Nanlang District), and colorful flags fluttered in the wind. More than 30 ornate Piaose figures moved forward slowly, and children in costume on 3 to 5 meter tall steel bars smiled and waved to passers-by.
After a three-year absence, the Yakou Piaose parade, a national intangible cultural heritage item, restarted to present tourists with a fantastic display of folk customs.
