On a shimmering blue sea, white dolphins were spotted cruising happily. This beautiful scene occurred on February 12 in the Zhongshan water area near Qi’ao Land, and it was videotaped by Wu, a Zhongshan seaman.

"Not just one or two, but a group of seven or eight of them," Wu said. At around 12 p.m. on Tuesday, he was on duty aboard his assigned cargo ship. When the ship sailed into the waters near Qi'ao Island, Wu found the white dolphins just off the bow.

“Since the recent years of this city’s current governance, Zhongshan’s water quality has continued to improve. That’s why white dolphins can play here, in particular, on sunny days,” Wu added. During his 30 year career as a seaman, Wu has seen white dolphins in the Zhongshan water area many times in the past and almost once a year in recent years.
