The "Beauty of Intangible Cultural Heritage" Zhongshan Intangible Cultural Heritage Show, one of the activities of the Zhongshan parallel session of the first Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Arts Festival, will be organized on July 6 at 7:30 pm at the Zhongshan Culture & Art Center. Classic ICH projects such as West District Drunken Dragon, Sanjiao Kylin Dance, Hung Kuen and Shachong Ma's Spear along with other traditional folk songs and music will be performed to the public for free.
According to the organizer, the show will be the stage for most local intangible cultural heritage projects of Zhongshan in recent years, with many performances winning awards in national and provincial competitions. The well-known national ICH project Drunken Dragon, which has been on the Shanghai World Expo and the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, also made a wonderful appearance in the promotion video of the first Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Arts Festival.
Presently, Zhongshan has 6 national ICH projects including Zhongshan Salty Water Song, Xiaolan Chrysanthemum Exhibition, Nanlang Yakou Piao-se, Drunken Dragon Dance and Liufang Cloud-Dragon Dance, 17 provincial ICH projects including Sanjiao Kylin Dance, Shaxi Folk Arts Grand Parade, Huangpu Piao-se, Shiqi Dragon Boat Race and Dachong Redwood Furniture Carving Skills, as well as 16 municipal ICH projects including Crane Song, Xiaolan Hung Kuen, Shachong Ma's Spear and Guangdong traditional skills for tile ridge of architecture pottery sculpture.
