The organizing committee of the 2019 Zhongshan International Marathon held a press conference on September 26 to announce the schedule, route and registration method of the event.

Registration for the event was open to the public on the same day. This year, a total of 20,000 runners will join the event, 4,000 more than last year.

This year's Zhongshan International Marathon will start at 7:00 am on December 15. It will include a full marathon, a half-marathon, a healthy run (10km) and a happy run (5km), with 4,000, 6,000, 5,000 and 5,000 runners participating respectively.

All runners will be determined by a draw after pre-registration.

According to the organizing committee, there will be no much changes in the route this year, and they have invited technical officers of the Chinese Athletics Association to Zhongshan to assess and improve the route.
