A total of 1,200 Chinese zithers were played in unison to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China.
The event commenced at 10am at the antique square of the Chinese Rosewood Culture Expo City, with 2,300 people singing the National Anthem.
A total of 1,200 Chinese zither lovers dressed in red later sat in the middle of the square. The performance started with the beautiful rhythm of "My Motherland", "Greater China" and other songs.
Equally performed were some representative and celebratory traditional folk songs such as "War against Typhoon", "High Mountain Flowing Water", "Bumper Beat" and "A Step Higher".
Organised by the Zhongshan Chinese Zither Association, this performance was also supported by the Dachong town government, the Chinese Rosewood Culture Expo City as well as more than 50 local schools and training institutions.
