The Ministry of Ecology and Environment a few days ago announced the national air quality index of January 2020. Among 168 key cities nationwide, Zhongshan entered the top 20 and ranked 15th.
As of February 16, Zhongshan's main pollution indicators for ambient air: the concentrations of NO2, PM10, PM2.5 and O3 were 27, 36, 26 and 114 micrograms/cubic meter, respectively.
Compared with last year, the air quality in Zhongshan has improved significantly, and so far it has been 100% up-to-standard. The proportion of good air quality days increased by 13 percentage points over the same period in 2019. The improvement ranked first in Guangzhou Province.
