A small lotus exhibition will be held in the South Gate Square of Zimaling Park, when nearly 6,000 pots of lotus plants will be available for free appreciation.

According to the park staff, the lotus flowers on display include Zhongshan native varieties such as "Zhongshan Lotus" and "Zhongshan Red Multi-petalled Lotus", as well as "Yixian Lotus", which symbolizes Sino-Japanese friendship. In addition, more than 30,000 pots of Spider Flower (cleome hassleriana) and Zinnia (zinnia elegans) will be displayed. The exhibition is planned to open to the public for free on June 20.
