The 17th China Charity Ranking was announced in Beijing on June 16.

The "2019 Blue Book on the Development of Chinese Charity Donations" and the list of donations for fighting against COVID-19 were both published. At the same time, the "Philanthropists of the Year", "Philanthropic Enterprises of the Year", "Philanthropic Foundations of the Year", "Philanthropic Projects of the Year", "Philanthropic Stars of the Year", "Public Welfare Research Reports of the Year", "Philanthropic Role Models of the Year" and etc were commended.

Koo Yuen Kim, an outstanding elite of Zhongshan, also chairman of Perfect (China) Co Ltd, was awarded the title of Charity Leader of Overseas Chinese Businessmen. The Zhongshan Charity Assistance Center (Zhongshan Serious Illness Assistance Center) set up by Perfect (China) Co Ltd and the Zhongshan Civil Affairs Bureau was awarded one of the Top 10 Charity Projects of the Year.

According to reports, the Zhongshan Charity Assistance Center uses a combination of special government funds and social charity funds and aims to prevent citizens from falling into poverty because of illness. As of May 2020, the center had distributed over 12.8 million yuan to help 5,052 people.
