The 12th China Folk Art Festival opened in Zhongshan on the evening of November 23. Themed with "Flowers in the Chrysanthemum City and Winds in Xiangshan", it attracted well-known experts and scholars from all over the country, 34 folk art teams and folk artists from 25 provinces, cities and autonomous regions, and presented a lively folk-art feast with rich ethnic customs and distinctive regional characteristics.

This festival was sponsored by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and China Folk Literature and Art Association, and hosted by Guangdong Literature and Art Association and CPC's Zhongshan Municipal Committee and the Government of Zhongshan.

The festival was excellent and one of the "highlights" was the preliminary evaluation of the 15th "Mountain Flower Awards and Outstanding Folk-art Performances". In addition, Folk Culture Forum, Intangible Cultural Heritage Research and Collection, the Third Guangdong Peasant Painting Exhibition, and artistic volunteer service performances in communities will be held in succession.

This Xiaolan Chrysanthemum Fair was held simultaneously with the China Folk Art Festival to complement each other. The main exhibition area of the Chrysanthemum Fair was about 350 mu, with 250,000 pots of chrysanthemum and 25 groups of large and medium-sized landscaping on display. The fair was grand. Various recreational and sports activities would be held at the same time, such as "Happy 10km" and "Guangdong Lion Dance Competition".
