The year 2022 marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of sister-city relations between the City and County of Honolulu, Hawaii, and the City of Zhongshan, Guangdong. 

On November 22, Xiao Zhanxin, Mayor of Zhongshan and Rick Blangiardi, Mayor of Honolulu met via video link to celebrate the anniversary. The two sides reviewed the fruitful history of exchanges and cooperation over the past 25 years and exchanged views on future exchanges and cooperation.

During the online meeting, both sides also watched a youth music exchange show performed by Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School, Zhongshan Experimental Primary School, Zhongshan Youth Philharmonic Orchestra jointly with Punaho School in Honolulu.
