The 2nd Forum on Global Communication of Chinese Cities opened in Haikou City, Hainan Province on February 17. Ten Pioneering Chinese Cities in Building Global Image, five Leading Cities in Special Areas and Successful Cases in International Communication of Chinese Cities received trophies. Zhongshan was selected as one of Successful Cases in International Communication of Chinese Cities.

According to the Analysis Report on Overseas Influence of Chinese Cities (2022), the research findings of this forum, Zhongshan has conducted international cross-cultural communication through My Zhongshan, a bilingual video series. The series, which combines hot news with Zhongshan's features, observes the city from the perspective of foreigners. Covering a wide range of hot topics such as food and entertainment, urban construction, sci-tech innovation and rural revitalization, the series has received extensive attention.
