It is reported that nearly 200 phalanxes with about 20,000 people will join the Charity Parade this year. Differing from the previous years, this session will adopt time-segmenting and east-west-line congregation to ease the stress of assembly.

The parade this year will start at 15:00 on Feb 22th (the Lantern Festival). Measures of east-west-line congregation and “tidewater” cruising in three time segments are adopted to relieve the flow of visitors.

Among the 200 phalanxes, the ratio of social organizations sees an increase. Besides the traditional local chambers of commerce and industry associations, organizations of public interest like Bo’ai100 Public Welfare, Xiaowusong Public Welfare, Sun Yat-sen Foundation and Zhejiang Youth League are also involved in the parade. In addition, CCA Zhongshan Branch (China Cheongsam Association) and China Hanfu Clothing Association have confirmed their presence in distinctive costumes during the parade.
