Mayor Chen Liangxian met with Egoli, Italian Consul-General in Guangzhou and Qi Yilong, director of Worldex Fiera Milano Exhbition Co., Ltd yesterday. They have an in-depth exchange of views over incorporation of exhibition group and multi-field cooperation in economy and business between China and Italy.

Chen says that Zhongshan has a solid economic foundation, preferential location, distinct industrial features along with industrial clusters covering electronic information, hardware, lighting, furniture, health and medicine during the meeting. Lighting companies have cooperated with Italian design groups in Guzheng and participated in the Milan Design Week. He hopes to extend the bilateral cooperation to fields like furniture, exhibition, new materials, bioengineering, health and medicine to achieve mutual benefits.

Mr. Chen also introduces the on-construction Sino-Swiss (European) Industrial Park and wishes that Italian Consulate in Guangzhou support Zhongshan companies carrying out investment promotions in Italy, and warmly welcomes the investment of advanced manufacturing projects and innovative service business in Zhongshan.
