The first Guangdong, Hong Kong & Macau Humanitarian Works Exchange was held yesterday in Zhongshan city. The 29-year Charity Parade held in Zhongshan is also a kind of the Red Cross Movements.

Red Cross Society is not just an organization, but also a continuous movement affecting and involving many people. The Movement inherits the spirit of “Humanitarian, philanthropy and dedication”, and is engaged in humanitarian works, as is shown in the 29-year-old Zhongshan Charity Parade. On the occasion of the 2016 Zhongshan Charity Parade, the first Guangdong, Hong Kong & Macau Humanitarian Works Exchange is held in Zhongshan. The guests and representatives concerned gather together to discuss the humanitarian work and the development of Red Cross Society.

Volunteer team: three qualities are a must for a good volunteer, that is, Red Cross Spirit, serving skill and self-motivation.

Song Wenzhu (Deputy Director of Macau Red Cross): Macau Red Cross has been established for over 95 years. Presently, it has covered first-aid service, promotion of first-aid, social service, disaster preparation and relief, promotion and education of Red Cross Movement and International Humanitarian Law, development work of youth and so forth. Volunteers are vital resources for Red Cross Society, and its development needs them.
