Zhongshan Municipal Government Report put forward at this year's two sessions (Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress and Zhongshan Municipal Political Consultative Conference) the plan of turning Xiaolan Town into a “Smart manufacturing demonstration town”. The Organization Department of Zhongshan Municipal Party committee, Zhongshan Bureau of Finance, and Xiaolan Town Government jointly held two fairs on Feb. 25 to promote industry transformation by providing opportunities for the combination of technology and capital.

Eleven well-known experts in the field of smart manufacturing including Fan Yushun at Tsinghua University were invited to the fairs which are expected to promote the industry-university-research cooperation in terms of big data analysis, cloud computing, Internet plus, smart manufacturing, and so on.
