One of the latest good news in Shiqi District is the setting up of Zhongshan Park of UESTC, signifying a substantial progress of Zhongshan in introducing resources from UESTC.

As one of the universities directly under the Ministry of education, the National 985 project and 211 project university, UESTC has hold several discussions with Zhongshan Municipal government on promoting the establishment of Zhongshan Park and reached a consensus of signing the agreement in March.

Based on the principle of “innovation leading, government promoting, school supporting and market running” and the high-quality industrial projects in Zhongshan, the two parties will jointly set up the Zhongshan Park of UESTC.
Focusing on scientific innovation coordination, transformation of scientific research achievements and better undertaking the industrial projects, the park is aimed to be a place with high-level cluster of innovation elements, characteristic industries and strong motivation ability in scientific research, development and achievements transformation.
