Zhongshan Red Cross has officially established Water Rescue Team. Its purpose is to “provide emergency rescue and benefit to society”. It spares not efforts to spread humanism and universal fraternity. It is engaged in full play of social forces in emergency rescue. It aims to increase people’s knowledge about safety on the water through varieties of volunteering activities. It provides volunteering service and help for people who meet danger on the water. Its establishment symbolizes the further competition of the volunteering service system in Zhongshan. The service time was inaugurated by Vice Mayor, Head of Zhongshan Red Cross Yang Wenlong.
