Yao Jiakang, a picture-story book collector, donated on the morning of Mar. 12 his collection of historical picture-story books about Mr. Yat-sen to the Memorial Hall of Mr. Sun Yat-sen’s Former Residence.

It is learned that Mr. Yao Jiakang was born in Suzhou City. He has been collecting story-picture books for years. He has donated about 5, 000 story-picture books to 210 museums in different provinces since 2007. The value of his donation totaled 600 thousand Yuan. Mr. Yao donated 10 delicate story-picture books to Zhongshan. 7 of the 10 story-picture books were published in early 1980s, and 3 other books are collector’s edition published in early 21st Century. These story-picture books are works of well-known domestic painters, and thus have high collection value.
