Sun Suifang, grand-girl of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, donated a bronze statue of Dr. Sun to Haotou Middle School yesterday. To publicize the spirit of Dr. Sun, Suifang plans to donate 200 bronze statues to the places around the world, and this is the 170th. The footing stone of the statue is a three-layer octagon: the first layer engraved with “loyalty, filial piety, faith and peace”, the second layer “obtaining knowledge by observation, having sincere thoughts and righteous heart, self-cultivating, family regulating, state governing and world peace, the third layer “the world is for all” handwritten by Dr. Sun. The teachers and students present flowers to the statute. In addition to the statue, Sun also donates relevant calligraphy, paintings and books.
