Guided by Zhongshan Calligraphers’ Association and organized by Zhongshan Lanting Calligraphy and Painting House, He Guoxin Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition will open in the Artists Activity Center of Zhongshan Federation of Art and Literary Circles on April 9th, exhibiting over 150 works of He and other students of Lanting.

As a member of Zhongshan Calligraphers’ Association and director of Zhongshan Lanting Calligraphy and Painting House, He learns painting from Chen Jinzhang, professor of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and gets careful instruction from professor Xian Liya. Having learned calligraphy for 20 years, he practices the style of Wang Xizhi (303-361AD), a great calligrapher in ancient China, and get hints from the famous calligraphers such as Ouyang Xun, Yan Zhenqin, Liu Gongquan, Zhao Mengtiao, Zhong Yao, Zhang Xu, Huai Su, Dong Qichang and so on. His works range from natural landscapes such as waters, mountains, flowers to birds, human figures, appealing to both refined and popular tastes.
