Party Secretary Xue Xiaofeng met with Martin Schwartz, president and CEO of Dorel yesterday morning.

Due to the requirement of long-term strategy, Dorel will move its Greater China headquarter from Taiwan to Zhongshan, and plan to build a national-level laboratory in two years and establish Zhongshan R&D center.

Xue says that Zhongshan Municipal People’s Government and Party Committee greatly support the strategic layout of Dorel in Zhongshan, who makes a wise decision in choosing a rising industry and promising market, and its development plan coincides highly with the orientation of the industries in Zhongshan. At present, the state, province and municipal all support the development of entity economy, striving to relieve their burden to enhance efficiency. So it is expected that Dorel is confident of its investment in Zhongshan, aims at middle- and high-end customers, improves the competition of the products and strengthens its leading role in home furnishing.
