The 2015 evaluation results of national popular science education bases were recently publicized by China Science and Technology Association. Zhongshan Meteorology Popular Science Education Base won the title "2015 Excellent National Informationalized Popular Science Education Base". Zhongshan Meteorology Popular Science Education Base is one of the five excellent national bases in Guangdong Province.

It is introduced that Zhongshan Bureau of Meteorology put forward the informatization of popular science education by organizing teenagers' meteorological knowledge competition, meteorological photography competition, and meteorological summer camp. The public information platforms such as website, Wechat, and Weibo also helped the informatization of meteorological popular science education. The meteorological and astronomical popular science education center is open to the public.
