Guangdong province hosted an award ceremony in Baiyun International Conference Center on Apr.27, to honor its model workers in celebration of International Labor Day. Principal provincial leaders, including Hu Chunhua and Zhu Xiaodan, attended the ceremony.

About 5,000 workers from all walks of life were invited to the ceremony. The Zhongshan delegation was made up of 18 model workers, all of whom are winners of labor awards at all levels. Hu presented an award to Yue Qiaoyun, a Zhongshan medalist of National Labor Medal, the highest honor for ordinary Chinese workers.
