Zhongshan Civil Bureau, Zhongshan Civilization Office and Zhongshan Bureau of Land Resources cooperated to hold a tree burial rite for cremated remains in Zhongshan Cemetery. Over 200 families put their over 100 ancestors’ cremated remains under a big green tree.

The participants are most this year in the history. The burial rite has attracted quite a number of Zhongshan people who live outside the city. It is the 9th time for Zhongshan in the history since started in the year 2000. Cremated remains of over 2000 people has gone back to the nature, including that of nearly 1500 people scattered into the sea and that of nearly 500 people sleeping with green trees.
