China Railway Bridge Survey and Design Institute claimed on the 25th that it had succeeded in bidding for the survey and design project of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge. It means this world-class crossing-sea transport project was started. The general investment is estimated to be RMB 42.371 billion yuan.

The president of the institute tells the bridge connects the coastal highway and airport from Guangzhou to Shenzhen in the east, Hengmeng in the west that connects the eastern outside circles of Zhongshan and Zhongshan-Kaiping Highway. It is a project with great difficulty that integrates the extraordinarily wide underwater tunnel, the extraordinarily long bridge, the deepwater artificial islands and the underwater interworking.
