Zhongshan Rural Tourism Month and the 1st Waterside Litchi Carnival opened yesterday morning.

The Waterside Sports Meeting featuring local flavor was held in Weifeng Farm, Minzhong Town on the morning of June 8th. Games held in the meeting include riding grain bucket, transplanting rice seedlings, eating litchi, carrying bananas, etc., which marks the opening of Zhongshan Rural Tourism Month and the 1st Waterside Litchi Carnival, and embarks on the upgrading of Lingnan waterside leisure facility and rural tourism.

It is learned that Minzhong town has built itself into a distinguished tourism town featuring ecological agriculture, Lingnan waterside culture, leisure and health-preserving greenway, and developed hundreds of orchards, vegetable gardens, farms, aquatic farms and demonstration gardens. Minzhong town has also been awarded the honors as “Guangdong tourism town”, “demonstration town of leisure agriculture and rural tourism in Guangdong” while eight enterprises in the town have been awarded state-level or provincial level honorable titles in tourism.
