1st Zhongshan Marathon has finished registration yesterday. Half-marathon lasting for 21.0975 km is the most popular as 4,000 people registered for it within 3 hours. 2,000 people registered for full-marathon in two days, and 6,000 people for 5km happy running.

Despite the age limit of 65 years old, the 73-year-old Gao Yunfu will take part in the 42.195 km full-marathon as a special contestant. Gao began his marathon practice at the age of 70, and finished his first full-marathon in Guangzhou Marathon with a result of 3 hours and 49 minutes in 2013. He will become the oldest among the contestants of first Zhongshan Marathon.
