The formation of oversea Chinese, Hong Kong and Macau compatriots and foreign friends is composed of a record 2,000 people.

The short-haired lady in suit who catches much attention is Ratu Silvy Gayatri, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Guangzhou. She tells the reporter that she is invited by the ZSFAO to join the charity parade. She says “I was pleased to be invited to the parade when I learned about its philanthropic purpose. The atmosphere here is great and exciting.” She also expresses her surprise of witnessing so many people enjoying the parade despite the bad weather.

“There are not just Zhongshan citizens, but also foreign friends who join the parade, which is a great opportunity for communication.” With the great impression of Zhongshan city given by the previous working experience here, she also mentions that “The city construction and infrastructure are great with huge development prospect. I’m convinced that Zhongshan will make a great contribution to the Chinese OBOR strategy. And hopefully Zhongshan people and Indonesians will have more interaction in the near future.”
