As one of key specialties of Changjiang Reservoir in Zhongshan, crisped grass carps are raised with mineral water and concentrated feed in an intensive, living-water farming method. 

Crisped grass carps have the same appearance as ordinary grass carp but different meat, which is of 12% higher protein content.

Crisped grass carp meat tastes delicious, smooth and, most distinctively, crisp, especially the belly part. The fish can be cooked in various ways, including frying, steaming and stewing.
