The Department of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province recently announced the third list of Famous, Special, Excellent and New Agricultural Products of Guangdong Province. Zhongshan's Pearl Guava, Shenwan Pineapple, Huangpu Preserved Meat and Crisped Grass Carp made the list.

The selection and promotion activity of Famous, Special, Excellent and New Agricultural Products of Guangdong Province was launched last November. One of the purposes was to select local product brands to create Guangdong's regional public brands, enterprise brands, and product brands with prominent regional characteristics and distinctive product characteristics, so as to promote the specialized development of the agricultural industry and promote quality and efficiency in agriculture in Guangdong.

A total of 339 regional agricultural products involving dragon fruit, lychee, winter melon, Chinese yam, lotus root and others were selected into the list.
