The Agricultural Products Quality and Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently announced the 3rd list of "China Quality Agricultural Products" for 2020, with a total of 387 products included.

Zhongshan's "Dongsheng Crisped Grass Carp" was on the list, and the selected production and business operation units included Zhongshan Jiahua Crisped Grass Carp Breeding Specialized Cooperative and Zhongshan Dongsheng Town Chezai Crisped Grass Carp Breeding Base.

At present, the breeding area of crisped grass carp, the leading aquaculture species in Dongsheng Town, is about 1,098 hectares, with an annual output of about 35,000 tons. The annual output of crisped grass carp ponds is valued at 1.019 billion yuan, accounting for about 80.04% of the total agricultural output value of the town. By opening up processing, circulation and consumption, the Dongsheng crisped grass carp breeding industry has greatly expanded, influencing related industries to achieve an output value of nearly 10 billion yuan.
