The five-day Zhongshan Lantern Festival Food Carnival started on February 23 at the West Sunwen Road cultural tourism pedestrian street and will run through February 27.
"The Lantern Festival is of great importance for Chinese people. I am delighted to cook for the tourists so that they can taste Zhongshan cuisine," said Lin Kaisheng, a national culinary master and a five-star Cantonese cuisine chef in Guangdong.
At the pedestrian street, Zhongshan delicacies such as Ludou rice dumplings, Minzhong deep-fried bananas and Guzhen fried fish cakes attracted numerous residents and tourists.
"I love the charcoal-grilled chicken wings and durian cakes here very much", said a tourist from Zhanjiang city.
In addition to the 40 stalls featuring specialty foods and cultural creative products from Zhongshan and surrounding cities, the event also sets up large internet-famous sites and splendid activities to celebrate the Lantern Festival and experience folk culture.
