The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday for family reunions. During the holiday, in addition to continuing the traditional customs of eating mooncakes and enjoying the moon, it has also become a new custom for Chinese people to spend the festival in museums where everyone can share the joy.
On September 14, the Zhongshan Museum, in cooperation with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, held a special exhibition entitled "Master of the Century: Xiao Youmei and the Modern Music Education in China", accompanied by a concert on the opening day, with the arrival of the Mid-Autumn Festival. This event not only gives us an in-depth understanding of Xiao Youmei's outstanding contributions in music and culture but also showcases how Zhongshan, as his hometown, has carried forward this musical legacy.
Zhongshan International Communications Center organized a group of expats, overseas Chinese and Hong Kong and Macao compatriots who are living in Zhongshan to enjoy this special museum night.
