The Measures to Stabilize Foreign Trade and Boost Growth of Zhongshan were recently unveiled to further support enterprises in accelerating expansion into both domestic and international markets and establish a new development paradigm.
In terms of market expansion, Zhongshan aims to facilitate 3,000 enterprises' participation in overseas exhibitions this year, establish two new overseas exhibition and trade centers, and boost import-export growth in emerging markets such as ASEAN, the Middle East and Latin America to achieve double-digit increases. Efforts will be made to promote the international expansion of specialized industries including shower rooms, office furniture and cosmetics by leveraging such platforms as the Canton Fair and the China International Consumer Products Expo. Special funds will be granted to business associations and enterprises that organize and participate in exhibitions at home and abroad.
In terms of the enterprise cultivation, Zhongshan will promote quality and structural upgrading of the national- and provincial-level foreign trade bases in Xiaolan (hardware), Guzhen (lighting), Nantou (home appliances), Henglan (lighting), Torch Development Zone (next-gen information technology), Dongfeng (small appliances) and Shaxi (clothing), as well as of the shower room export base in Fusha. Subsidies will be granted to qualified SMEs, "little giant" enterprises and single champion enterprises.
In terms of cross-border e-commerce, support will be given to e-commerce hubs in East District, Guzhen and Shaxi to launch pilot programs in inter-platform cooperation, business incubation, compliance management and brand building. At least 30 e-commerce matchmaking and exchange activities will be organized this year to deepen cooperation among e-commerce platforms.
