The 34th Jeddah International Building Exhibition (JiBEX) took place at the Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events in Saudi Arabia from April 15 to 17, with over 30 enterprises in Zhongshan participating.

The JiBEX is one of the largest building material exhibitions in Jeddah, covering an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters, bringing together 389 exhibitors from around the world.

The exhibition is divided into 6 parts, featuring building materials, building hardware and tools, lighting fixtures, kitchen and bathroom wares, construction machinery, and furniture and home furnishings, respectively.

Zhongshan held a matchmaking and exchange activity during the exhibition, and unveiled its first exhibition and trade center in the Middle East.

"We have received a more-than-expected number of intention orders," said a spokesman of Huayi Lighting.

Saudi Arabia has long been an important destination for foreign trade cooperation of Zhongshan. In 2024, Zhongshan's total export-import volume with Middle Eastern countries stood at 19.34 billion yuan, up 14.4% year-on-year, accounting for 6.8% of the city's total volume of foreign trade.
