Recently, 300 kg of Macrobracium roseabergii bred at Hengyi Aquafarm in Banfu Town passed inspection and is on the way to South Korea. The shrimp is transported from Baiyu Airport in Guangzhou to Inchon Airport in South Korea and passed it is official inspection to enter the market. This is the first time for Zhongshan to export live shrimp and the first time for Guangdong to export live shrimp to South Korea.

South Korea is extremely strict with import of aquatic products. To ensure smooth export, enterprises in Zhognshan made sufficient preparations: the first step is choosing aquafarm with good conditions. The first export task is assigned to Hengyi Aquafarm which has CIQ registration and won the Agricultural Department’s title of Model Aquafarm for Healthy Breeding; the second step is work out working procedures up to the standards of inspection and quarantine; the third step is strict inspection. All the 14 drug residues and epidemic diseases testing items met South Korea’s requirements.
